Y/n put her car into drive and screeched out of the grocery store parking lot. Mentally she was still going over her grocery list, trying to make sure she had gotten everything. Eggs – check. Lettuce and tomatoes – check. Ben and Jerry’s, tortilla chips, blueberries and about a million other things – check, check, check. She still felt like she was forgetting something.
She gazed over the tops of her sunglasses at the open road. Y/n bit her lip. She was missing something. The girl leaned back and flicked on the radio. Then it hit her. She had to get her car inspected today. Like today today.
“Shit!” Y/n spat. She threw a quick glance in the direction of her mirrors and pulled a U-ie in the middle of an undivided highway. Dust billowed out behind her car. It was a good thing she was the only one on the road because she wasn’t about to tap the breaks.
